This song began after several years of battling conflicting insecurities having do with my body, my looks, the way I was seen by men and how I interact with them. About being stuck in the constant struggle between a hate of being objectified and a lifelong fear that my worth can be measured by how attractive people find me. It was finished after a night out when a casual acquaintance thought only about what he wanted and much too easily disregarded me and my comfort.
